our judges

Carrie Varnedore aka The Moviechic

Although the horror genre IS her favorite, after being exposed to a TV version of Fall of the House of Usher at the age of 5, the love of all movie styles runs deep. She was blessed with working for 15 years in the video store business, which allowed her easy access to cultivate the love of movies. But the ultimate Moviechic experience has been, without a doubt, a 5 year stint from 2003-2009 as part of the Jekyll & Hyde movie reviewing team on Horror-Web.com. She is honored to be selected as a judge once again for the Sick Chick Flicks. If you are willing to stop and listen, she'll bend your ear to discuss opinions on movies. Cheers & bring on the movies!

Daphne Reeder

Daphne Reeder is an actress, model, and owner of Drache Media Films, and independent film company focusing on the genres of horror and sci-fi. She has worked special FX for multiple projects, and can be seen on the convention circuit speaking as a guest on costuming and film panels. She belongs to several costuming groups, such as the Southern Belle Ghostbusters, The 501st, and the Mandalorian Mercs.

Ceirra Ayers

Award winning FX artist Ceirra Doll has been creating monsters for years. She is a self-taught makeup artist, sculptor and prop maker who’s love of horror began at birth. She takes her inspiration from Universal’s classic monsters. By day she is a mortician who takes pride in her job and by night she is also a mortician who takes pride in her job because morticians never sleep. But when she does get time to herself you will find her creating creatures, monsters and makeup to add to her demented little collection. She is now adding writer and director to the many hats that she wears.

Angela Giddings

Angela Giddings wears many hats. She’s an independent filmmaker, a self-published author, and a molecular biologist. Angela has been an integral part of the Sick Chick Flicks Film Festival since it's inception, working both behind the scenes and as a judge for many years. She has also been involved both behind and in front of the camera for Sick Chick Flicks. She likes creating stories that live in the murky borderlands between fantasy and horror. When she is not working on film projects, she is busy writing a series of novels set in a post-apocalyptic alien world or playing with proteins.
